Low Fuel Warning Light Thermistor
CAUTION:
After completing thermistor test, wipe or blow sending unit dry before installing into fuel tank.
- Remove rear seat cushion and center protection plate to gain access to fuel gauge sending unit. Remove fuel gauge sending unit from fuel tank. See FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using 12-volt test light with a 3.4-watt bulb, connect positive battery terminal to fuel gauge sending unit connector. See Fig 1 . Using a jumper wire, ground fuel gauge sending unit connector to battery.
- Submerge thermistor in container of water. If test light does not come on, thermistor is okay. If test light comes on, replace thermistor.
