Avenger, SEBRING Coupe & Stratus Coupe: Installation
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. SeeTORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Ensure reference marks on torque converter and drive plate align.
- Use NEW ball joint-to steering knuckle nuts, NEW driver's side transaxle mount assembly-to-transaxle nuts, and NEW front (radiator side) transaxle mount through-bolt. Install NEW retaining ring onto end of axle shaft before installing axle shaft into transaxle.
- Front (radiator side) transaxle mount through-bolts should be tightened to specification after transaxle and all mounts are installed, and transaxle is in normal operating position. Fill transaxle with appropriate fluid. See appropriate SERVICING article in AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS.
