Instrument Cluster Self-Diagnostics

  1. As a quick diagnosis, instrument cluster will perform a function check immediately after ignition is switch is turned to RUN/START position. Electronic display, odometer/transmission range indicator and all warning lights EXCEPT low fuel, cruise, high beam, foglights and turn signal will light for a brief period. If cluster is not receiving PCI bus messages, cluster will appear non-functional and NO BUS will be displayed in odometer display.
  2. Instrument cluster self-test procedure can be initialized by pressing and holding the odometer reset button and turning ignition from lock to unlock. Instrument cluster will perform various steps to internally check operation.
