Instrument Cluster
There are 2 types of instrument clusters available. Concorde and Intrepid share one design while LHS and 300M share another. Both clusters are electro-mechanical type, receiving most of their information from Body Control Module (BCM) or Timing Control Module (TCM) through Programmable Communication Interface (PCI) bus. Instrument cluster consists of speedometer, odometer/trip odometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge and gear selector indicator. Gauges are magnetic air-core type. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 .
When ignition switch is in OFF position, gauge pointers should rest at or below the low graduation. Gauge readings are accurate only when ignition switch is in ON position.
