Thermistor Test
CAUTION:
After completing thermistor test, wipe or blow sending unit dry before installing into fuel tank.
- Remove fuel gauge sending unit from fuel tank. Using 12-volt test light with a 3.4-watt bulb, connect positive battery terminal to fuel gauge sending unit connector. See Fig 1 . Use jumper wire to ground fuel gauge sending unit connector to battery.
- Submerge thermistor in container of water. If test light does not come on, thermistor is okay. If test light comes on, replace thermistor.
