Removal & Installation

  1. Before proceeding, follow air bag service precautions. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONS  . Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  .
  2. Remove inner box. See Fig 1 . Disconnect SRS-ECU connector. Remove 4 SRS-ECU mounting bolts. Remove SRS-ECU.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. After servicing, perform SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  .
