Codes 24, 25, 64 & 65: Passenger-Side Air Bag Module

Before proceeding, follow air bag service precautions. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONS . Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
Disconnect passenger-side air bag module connector. Connect SRS Check Harness (MB991613) connector to air bag connector. See Fig 1 . Erase diagnostic trouble code memory. If Codes 24, 25, 64 or 65 are still displayed, go to next step. If codes are no longer displayed, replace passenger-side air bag module.
Check passenger-side air bag connector and SRS-ECU connector. Repair connectors as necessary. If connectors are okay and problem is still present, check harness between passenger-side air bag module (squib) and SRS-ECU. Repair harness if necessary. If harness is okay, replace the SRS-ECU.
