SRS Warning Light Does Not Switch Off

  1. Before proceeding, refer to SERVICE PRECAUTIONS  . Check for discharged battery. If battery is okay, turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  .
  2. Connect negative battery cable. Turn ignition on. Disconnect SRS-ECU connector. See Figure . If SRS warning light switches off when SRS-ECU connector is disconnected, replace SRS-ECU. If warning light does not switch off, check SRS-ECU connector. If connector is not good, repair. If connector is okay and problem is still present, check harness between SRS-ECU and combination meter. Repair as necessary.
