Description & Operation: CLOCKSPRING

Clockspring connects driver-side air bag module to steering column wiring, forming SRS circuit. See Figure . Clockspring is a flat, ribbon-like cable that winds and unwinds when steering wheel is turned. Because of clockspring's constant movement, it is the most fragile part in the system.
