Water Pump: Installation

NOTE: Water pump bolts directly to engine block. Pump cannot be rebuilt and must be serviced as a unit.

Clean all gasket and "O" ring surfaces. Install NEW "O" ring on water pipe (wet "O" ring with water to aid assembly). DO NOT allow oil or grease to contact "O" ring. Install NEW gasket on water pump, and install pump inlet opening over water pipe. Install pump-to-block bolts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
