Rocker Arm & Valve Lash Adjuster: Installation
Rotate camshaft until lobes are in a neutral position (little or no load to valves). Install rocker arm and shaft assembly with flat on shaft facing timing belt side of engine on right head, and transmission on left head. Install retainers and spring clips in original positions on exhaust and intake rocker shafts. Tighten bolts in sequence shown. See Fig 1. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table.
