Cylinder Head: Inspection

CAUTION: Grinding limit is combined total dimension of material removal from head and block mating surface.

Before cleaning, check cylinder head for leaks, damage and cracks. Clean cylinder head and oil passages. Check cylinder head for flatness. Cylinder head must be flat to within .0012" (.03 mm). A grinding limit of .008" (0.2 mm) maximum is allowed.
