Removal & Installation: Camshaft: Removal

  1. Remove rocker arm assemblies. See ROCKER ARM & VALVE LASH ADJUSTER . Remove timing belt and camshaft sprockets. See TIMING BELT . Remove cylinder heads. See CYLINDER HEAD .
    2. CAUTION: DO NOT nick or scratch journals when removing camshaft.
  2. Remove thrust case from left head. Remove camshaft from rear of head. Remove distributor from right head. Remove camshaft from rear of head.
