Oil Pump: Inspection

  1. Check oil pump case for damage, and remove rear cover. See OIL PUMP SPECIFICATIONS  table. Remove pump rotors, and inspect case for excessive wear.
  2. Insert rotor into oil pump case, and measure clearance with a feeler gauge. Ensure oil relief plunger slides smoothly. Check for broken relief spring.
