Oil Pan: Installation

CAUTION: When installing oil pan, DO NOT allow silicone rubber adhesive to expel from oil pan flange, located at back of oil pan, marked as section "A". See Fig 2.

Apply a 1/8" bead of silicone rubber adhesive sealant all along oil pan lip. See Fig 2. Install NEW drain plug gasket. Install NEW dipstick guide seal. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all bolts in to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . On 1996-1997 models, tighten all bolts in sequence. See Fig 3.
