Cylinder Head Overhaul: Valve

Ensure valve face has correct contact with valve seat. Valve should make a uniform contact with seat at center of valve face. See Figure. If contact is incorrect, rework valve. See VALVES & VALVE SPRINGS  table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS. If margin exceeds service limit, replace valve.
