2-4 Clutch Pressure Test

  1. Remove plug and install pressure gauge in 2-4 clutch pressure tap. See Figure.
  2. Place gearshift in "OD" or "D" (Overdrive switch released) position. Allowing front wheels to rotate, accelerate until vehicle speed indicates 30 MPH.
  3. The 2-4 clutch pressure should be 75-95 psi (5.3-6.7 kg/cm2 ). This pressure test checks 2-4 clutch hydraulic circuit. Remove pressure gauge. Install and tighten pressure tap plug to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
