Removal & Installation: Camshaft: Removal

  1. Remove engine from vehicle. Remove intake manifold, cylinder head, timing chain cover, timing chain, rocker arms, push rods and valve lifters.
  2. Remove thrust plate screws. Remove camshaft. A long bolt can be threaded into end of camshaft to aid in removal.
