Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) Control Buttons: Temp

Press TEMP to display outside temperature and compass reading. If compass has lost calibration, it will flash an asterisk (*) and/or display CALIBRATE. To recalibrate compass, move vehicle to level ground away from large buildings or bridges. Press and hold TEMP and SET buttons simultaneously for about 4 seconds. Release buttons when display alternates between the following commands: SET COMP...PRESS TEMP, SET VAR...PRESS INFO, TO EXIT...PRESS TIME.

Press TEMP button again to display SET COMP for 60 seconds. Display will now show FACE CAR OPPOSITE...DIRECTION, PRESS TEMP. Turn vehicle 180 degrees and press TEMP again. Display will show SETTING COMPASS. Compass is set when display returns to displaying temperature and direction. If this does not happen, retry sequence.
