Except LeBaron Sedan

Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) is a computer controlled warning system that monitors various sensors in vehicle and displays any current problems. EVIC is located in center of instrument panel on LeBaron Convertible/Coupe and in overhead console on Fifth Avenue, Imperial and New Yorker. A tone will sound to call attention to a warning being displayed on EVIC readout panel. If all systems are operational, the message MONITORED SYSTEMS OK will be displayed.

EVIC warnings include: FASTEN SEAT BELTS, PASS. DOOR AJAR, DRIVER DOOR AJAR, TRUNK AJAR, LOW OIL PRESSURE, ENGINE TEMP. HIGH, ENGINE TEMP. CRITICAL, COOLANT LEVEL LOW, FUEL LEVEL LOW, VOLTAGE IMPROPER, CHECK BRAKES, WASHER FLUID LOW, CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL, HEADLAMP OUT, BRAKE LAMP OUT, TAIL LAMP OUT, PARKING BRAKE ENGAGED, CHECK TRANS, KEYS IN IGNITION, EXTERIOR LAMPS ON, TURN SIGNALS ON, and SERVICE REMINDER. EVIC also displays time, date, compass functions, and fuel economy.
