Removal & Installation: Camshaft: Removal

  1. Remove engine from vehicle. Remove intake manifold, cylinder head, timing chain cover, timing chain, rocker arms, push rods and valve lifters. See appropriate heading under.
  2. Remove thrust plate screws. Remove camshaft. A long bolt can be threaded into end of camshaft to aid in removal.
