Fuel Gauge Circuit Test

  1. Remove fuel/temperature gauge assembly from instrument cluster. Check for continuity in wire between fuel tank sending unit and fuel level input pin. See Fig 1 . Repair wiring if continuity does not exist.
  2. With ignition on, check for battery voltage across the fuel gauge (B+) pin and fuel gauge ground pin. See Fig 1 . If no voltage exists, check wiring for damage and power supply for fuel gauge (B+) pin.
