Instrument Cluster Will Not Dim With Headlights On And Rheostat Rotated

If instrument cluster asterisk (*) is flashing, check for C² D problem. See BODY CONTROL COMPUTER article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
If asterisk is not flashing, check for defective fuse in headlight circuit. Check for defective wiring or loose connections between headlight switch and body computer. Check for defective headlight switch.

NOTE: Instrument cluster receives display intensity status from body computer through the C² D bus.
