Removal & Disassembly

  1. Remove rocker shaft assemblies. Using Jet Valve Socket (MD998310), remove jet valves from cylinder head. Using Spring Pliers (MD998309), compress jet valve spring and remove retainer lock. Separate components. See Fig 1.
CAUTION: Ensure jet valve socket does not tilt when removing valve. Tilting of socket may bend valve. Ensure jet valve does not bend when compressing valve for disassembly. Jet valve must be replaced as an assembly if worn, damaged or bent.
