Piston Ring End Gap

To measure piston ring end gap, insert ring to be measured into cylinder bore. Use top of piston to press ring down until it is square to cylinder wall. Remove piston and use feeler gauge to determine existing end gap. Check if end gap reading is within specifications. Replace ring if necessary.
