Engine Identification

Engine can be identified by the eighth character of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The VIN is stamped on a metal plate located on the left top side of instrument panel. Engine model number is stamped on front upper edge of cylinder block below cylinder head or on vehicle information plate attached to firewall. Engine serial number is stamped near the engine model number.
