All RWD Models

  1. Disconnect lead from temperature sending unit. Connect one lead of Gauge Tester (C-3826A) to sending unit wire, and other lead to ground. Place pointer of tester to "E" position and turn ignition on.
  2. Gauge should show "C", plus or minus 1/8". Place tester pointer to "1/2" position. Gauge should advance to operating range left of "1/2" position on dial. Place tester pointer to "F" position. Gauge should advance to "H" position of dial.
  3. If gauge responds to above tests but does not operate with sending unit connected, replace sending unit. If gauge does not respond properly to tests, check for loose connections, broken wires, open printed circuit or a faulty gauge.
