All RWD Models

  1. Make sure that LED is off. Check that charging system is working properly. Ensure battery is fully charged. Turn ignition on, DO NOT  start engine.
  2. Create a heavy electrical load by turning on headlights, windshield wipers, and stop lights. LED should light up within 1 minute. If not, gauge alert system is malfunctioning. Replace ammeter.
  3. If LED illuminates, start engine and maintain engine speed at 2000 RPM. LED should go out. If not, gauge alert system is malfunctioning. Replace ammeter.
