All RWD Models

  1. Turn ignition switch on, DO NOT  start engine. If lamp does not come on, check for a burned out bulb, damaged bulb socket, open wiring or defective switch. If lamp comes on, start engine and let it idle. If lamp goes out, warning light is okay.
  2. If lamp stays on after starting engine, turn engine off and check for grounded wiring. If okay, check for low oil level. If necessary, test engine oil pressure. If engine oil pressure is low, service engine as required. If pressure is okay, replace defective switch.
