All Other Models
- Simultaneously press "TRIP" and "TRIP RESET" buttons. Turn ignition on and release both buttons. If odometer displays "EIC", go to step 2). If there is no display, check fuses and verify battery and ignition voltage at cluster connector. If fuses and voltage checks are good, replace cluster.
- Press "US/MET" button to begin first 5 internal tests. If all displays illuminate and "5" is displayed in speedometer, the first 5 internal tests have passed. If all displays do not illuminate, replace cluster.
- If "1", "2", or "3" are displayed in speedometer, check if word "FAIL" is displayed in odometer. If so, replace cluster. If "4" is displayed in speedometer and "FAIL" is displayed in odometer, replace odometer memory chip.
- Begin test 6 by pressing "US/MET" button. Individual segments should be displayed in sequence. Verify that all segments are illuminated. If all displays are lit, and if speedometer displays a "6", this indicates end of test. If segments of display are shorted (grouped together), replace cluster.
- Begin test 7 by pressing "US/MET" button. Gauge scales and symbols should illuminate. If scales and symbols light, and if speedometer displays a "7", this indicates end of test. If scales or symbols do not light, replace cluster.
- On Daytona Turbo Z, Laser XE and Laser XT, begin test 8 by pressing "US/MET" button. If speedometer displays an "8", this indicates end of test. Instrument cluster is good. Problem is outside of cluster. Return cluster to normal operating mode by pressing "US/MET" button.
- On 600 ES Turbo, begin test 8 by pressing "US/MET" button. Check that gauge warning lamps within cluster light sequentially. If warning lamps did not light, replace cluster.
- If warning lamps lit as specified, and if speedometer displays an "8", this indicates end of test. Instrument cluster is good. Problem is outside of cluster. Return cluster to normal operating mode by pressing "US/MET" button.
