Fuel Level Diagnostic Function

  1. If "RANGE" function is not normal, check navigator using fuel level diagnostic function. Press "SPD" button. Within 5 seconds, simultaneously press "US/MET" and "RESET" buttons, then press "SET" button.
  2. Enter "124" into navigator. Display should read 30 or less for full tank and above 229 for empty tank. For example, a tank with 5 gallons in it should show reading of about 185. If fuel level function is okay, replace navigator.
  3. If fuel level function indicates a failure, check instrument cluster fuel gauge operation. If fuel gauge works properly, test fuel tank sending unit. To deactivate diagnostic function, press "SET" button and then another function button.
