Fuel Level Diagnostic Function

  1. If "RANGE" function is not normal, check navigator using fuel level diagnostic function as follows: Press "SPD" button. Within 5 seconds press "US/M" and "RESET" buttons simultaneously. Then press "SET" button. Enter "124" into navigator.
  2. Display should read near 0 for full tank and above 229 for empty tank. For example, tank with 5 gallons in it should show reading of about 195. To deactivate diagnostic function, press "SET" button and then another function button.
  3. If fuel level function is good, replace navigator. If fuel level function indicates failure, check instrument cluster fuel gauge operation. If fuel gauge works properly, test fuel tank sending unit.
