Lancer ES Only
- If electronic cluster is replaced, vehicle actual mileage can be programmed into new cluster in following manner: press "TRIP RESET" and "US/MET" buttons simultaneously. Turn ignition switch on while holding "TRIP RESET" and "US/MET" buttons. Release both buttons. Odometer portion should light up, displaying all zeroes with 1st digit flashing.
- Press and release "US/MET" button to change value of 1st digit (flashing). Start 2nd digit flashing by pressing "TRIP RESET" button. Press and release "US/MET" button to change value of 2nd digit (flashing). Continue to adjust remaining odometer digits by pressing "TRIP RESET" button to start digit flashing, then pressing "US/MET" button to change value of digit.
- Once odometer digits are all adjusted to actual vehicle mileage, press "TRIP" and "TRIP RESET" buttons simultaneously. This will lock in adjusted odometer reading and return cluster to normal operation.
NOTE:
Mileage can only be adjusted if cluster has less than 10 actual miles registered. Asterisk appears in odometer display if mileage has been adjusted. Adjustment can be made 3 times if incorrect mileage is entered, as long as less than 10 actual miles have been registered on the cluster.
