Chime Warning System
- Insert key in ignition but DO NOT turn on. With headlights off, open driver's door. A pulsating beep tone should be heard. Turn headlights on. Beeping tone should continue.
- Turn ignition key to "ON." Pulsating tone should stop and unit should chime 3-5 times, seat belt warning light should light for 4-8 seconds and then go out after 8-10 seconds. When light goes out, pulsating tone should resume on standard column models, or continuous tone should resume on tilt column models.
- Remove key from ignition. Continuous tone should be heard. Close door and all sound should stop.
