Bearing Replacement
Be sure to put a protective sleeve over axle shaft bearing surfaces, and next to bearing when installing shaft in a vise. Notch bearing collar and slide from shaft. Cut roller retainer from bearing with a chisel, then grind enough material from flange of bearing inner cone so that rollers and roller retainer can be removed. Remove each bearing roller and roller retainer, then remove bearing cup. Press or pull bearing cone from shaft using suitable tool. Install new bearing on shaft using tool set and arbor press.
