Lift Cylinder Operation Checks

Remove rear seat cushion and folding top compartment side panel assembly. Operate folding top control switch and observe lift cylinders during up and down cycles for these conditions:

  1. If movement of cylinder rods is sluggish or not coordinated when motor is actuated, check hydraulic hoses from motor and pump to cylinders for kinks.
  2. If one cylinder rod moves slower than the other, cylinder with slow moving rod is defective and should be replaced.
  3. If both cylinder rods move slowly, or do not move at all, check pressure of pump (see above).
