Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection

    Disengage the retaining tabs.

  3. Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block Cover (1) - Remove

    Electrical Connector (1) - Disconnect

    Battery Positive Cable Nut (1) - Remove [2x]

  6. Engine Wiring Harness Terminal Nut (2) - Remove
  7. Body Wiring Harness Terminal Nut (3) - Remove [4x]
  8. Battery Positive Cable (4) - Remove
  9. Engine Wiring Harness (5) - Remove
  10. Body Wiring Harness (6) - Remove

    Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (1) - Loosen

  12. Disengage the retaining tabs.

    Battery Hold Down Nut (1) - Remove

  15. Battery Hold Down Bolt (2) - Remove
  16. Battery Hold Down Retainer (3) - Remove

    Battery Hold Down Bolt (1) - Remove

  18. Battery Hold Down Retainer (2) - Remove

    Battery (1) - Remove

    Intake Air Duct Retainer (1) - Remove [2x]

  21. Release the 2 retainer tabs (arrows) to remove the intake air duct.

    Intake Air Duct (1) - Remove

    Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator Vacuum Control Solenoid Valve Filter Hose (1) @ Air Cleaner Assembly (2) - Remove

    Electrical Connector (1) - Disconnect

  25. Wiring Harness Retainer (2) - Remove

    Air Cleaner Clamp (1) - Loosen

  27. Air Cleaner Outlet Front Duct (2) @ Air Cleaner Assembly (3) - Remove

    Air Cleaner Assembly (1) - Remove

    Battery Tray Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

  30. Disconnect any harness retainers attached to the battery tray.
  31. Battery Tray (2) - Remove

    Battery Tray Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  33. Battery Tray Bracket Nut (2) - Remove
  34. Disconnect any harness retainers attached to the battery tray bracket.
  35. Battery Tray Bracket (3) - Remove

    Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Remove

  37. Steering Column - Remove - Steering Column Removal and Installation (URO) , or Steering Column Removal and Installation (UDC)

    Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

  39. Wiring Harness Retainer @ Steering Column Bracket - Release
  40. Steering Column Bracket (2) @ Instrument Panel Tie Bar - Remove

    Electrical Connector (1) @ Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor - Disconnect

  42. Electrical Connector (2) @ Brake Pedal Position Sensor - Disconnect
  43. Wiring Harness Retainer @ Brake and Accelerator Pedal Bracket - Release [3x]

    WARNING:

    Do not loosen the push rod of eBoost during any repair of related part because the loosening push rod of eBoost can cause the depression of anti-loose function and brake performance can be changed due to stroke change of push rod.

    Brake Pedal Push Rod (3) @ Brake Pedal (2) - Disconnect

    Release the 2 retainer tabs and pull the brake pedal a bit to facilitate the removal.

  45. Brake Pedal Push Rod Retainer (1) @ Brake Pedal Push Rod (3) - Remove and DISCARD

    Brake and Accelerator Pedal Bracket Nut (1) Remove [5x]

  47. Wiring Harness Retainer @ Brake and Accelerator Pedal Assembly - Release
  48. Brake and Accelerator Pedal Assembly (2) Remove
  49. Transfer components as necessary.
