Removal Procedure
WARNING:
When a hood hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.
Open and support the hood.
- Front Fender Rear Air Inlet Seal Retainer (1) - Remove
- Front Fender Rear Air Inlet Seal (2) - Remove
Mark the hinge to hood position with grease pencil.
- Hood Hinge Nut (1) - Remove [4x]
- With the aid of an assistant, remove the hood. (2)
Mark the position of the hinges with a grease pencil on the body panel.
- Hood Hinge Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- Hood Hinge (2) - Remove
