Circuit / System Testing
- Ignition / Vehicle - Off
- Disconnect the X20 Card Reader Receptacle harness connector.
- Verify a test lamp illuminates between the ground circuit terminal 3 and B+.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate
Repair the open / high resistance in the ground circuit.
- Go to next step: If the test lamp illuminates
- If the test lamp does not illuminate
- Ignition ON / Vehicle In Service Mode.
- Verify a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate and the circuit fuse is good
- Test for an open / high resistance in the B+ circuit.
- If an open / high resistance is found, repair the fault in the circuit.
- Go to next step: If an open / high resistance is not found
- Verify the fuse is not open and there is voltage at the fuse.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate and the circuit fuse is open
- Test for a short to ground in the B+ circuit.
- If a short to ground is found, repair the fault in the circuit.
- Go to next step: If a short to ground is not found
- Replace the P53 Driver Information Display.
- Go to next step: If the test lamp illuminates
- Verify the USB cable is properly connected at all components and in-line connections, and there is no damage to the cable or connections.
- If connection problems or cable damage is noted.
Perform the appropriate repair or replacement to correct any issues.
- Go to next step: If no connection problems or cable damage is noted.
- If connection problems or cable damage is noted.
- Replace the USB cable.
- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC is not set.
- If DTC sets
- Replace the X20 Card Reader Receptacle.
- Verify the DTC is not set.
- If DTC sets
Replace the A11 Radio.
- Go to next step: If DTC is not set
Go to next step: All OK
- If DTC sets
- Go to next step: If DTC is not set
- All OK
