Removal Procedure

  1. Transfer Case Assembly - Remove - Transfer Case Assembly Replacement (L84/L87 - F47) , or Transfer Case Assembly Replacement (LM2 - F47) , or Transfer Case Assembly Replacement (L84/L87 & F47) , or Transfer Case Assembly Replacement (LM2 & F47)

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Machined Surface Damage Caution .

    NOTE:

    DO NOT use a pry tool to remove the input shaft seal.

    Drill a pilot hole and insert a self-tapping screw (1) into the body of the transfer case input shaft seal.

  3. Using a set of pliers or slide hammer type tool, remove and DISCARD the transfer case input shaft seal (2).
