Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. S126 Ride Control Switch - 4WD/AWD Automatic

    or

    S126 Ride Control Switch - Transfer Case in Neutral

  3. Transmission in Drive
    4. NOTE:

    Within 2 min

  4. Perform the scan tool control function:Range Actuator Lock - Locked/Unlocked

    Verify the scan tool parameter:

    • Range Actuator Brake Control Circuit High Side Voltage = 4.5 to 7.3 V - Range Actuator Lock - Locked
    • Range Actuator Brake Control Circuit Low Side Voltage = 4.5 to 7.3 V - Range Actuator Lock - Locked
    • Range Actuator Brake Control Circuit High Side Voltage = 6 to 16 V - Range Actuator Lock - Unlocked
    • Range Actuator Brake Control Circuit Low Side Voltage = 0 to 0.5 V - Range Actuator Lock - Unlocked
    • If not the specified value 

      Refer to:DTC C1162 

    • Go to next step: If the specified value 
  5. Test or replace the component:A16 Transfer Case Four Wheel Drive Actuator
