Removal Procedure

  1. Transmission - Remove - - Automatic Transmission Removal and Installation ((LM2 & RWL & F47) , or Automatic Transmission Removal and Installation (LM2 & RWL - F47)

    Attach and secure DT-48989  Holding Fixture (1) to the automatic transmission case (2).

  3. Support the transmission with an overhead hoist attached to DT-48989  Holding Fixture (1).
  4. Install DT-48989  Holding Fixture (1) with the automatic transmission case (2) into the DT-03289-20  Holding Fixture Base Assembly (3).
  5. Rotate the transmission so that the converter housing is up and secure with locking pin.
  6. Install the DT-46409  Torque Converter Lifting Handles (4) into the torque converter (5).
  7. Remove the DT-21366  Converter Holding Strap installed during transmission removal.
  8. Torque Converter (5) - Remove
