Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC U063F is not set.
- If DTC U063F is set
- Go to next step: If DTC U063F is not set
- Perform the scan tool control function: Engine Coolant Flow Control Valve - Increase & Decrease
Verify the scan tool parameter:
- Engine Coolant Control Valve Control Circuit High Test Status = Not Runor OK
- Engine Coolant Control Valve Control Circuit Low Test Status = Not Runor OK
- Engine Coolant Control Valve Control Circuit Open Test Status = Not Runor OK
- Engine Coolant Control Valve Control Circuit Shorted Test Status = Not Runor OK
- If not the specified state
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- Perform the action while monitoring the parameter:
- Engine Coolant Control Valve Control Circuit High Test Status = Not Runor OK
- Engine Coolant Control Valve Control Circuit Low Test Status = Not Runor OK
- Engine Coolant Control Valve Control Circuit Open Test Status = Not Runor OK
- Engine Coolant Control Valve Control Circuit Shorted Test Status = Not Runor OK
- Wiggle the harness and connector(s): Q97 Engine Coolant Flow Control Valve
- Wiggle the harness and connector(s): K20 Engine Control Module
- If not the specified state
Repair as necessary - Wiring/Terminal(s)/Electrical Connector(s)
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets

- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
