Removal Procedure

Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (9C1/5W4) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
Remove the left front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Steel Wheel) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Aluminum Wheel)

{If equipped} Front Tire Front Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove

Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Remove [6x]
Front Wheelhouse Liner Retainer (2) - Remove
Front Wheelhouse Liner (3) - Reposition

Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Use a suitable tool to release the locking tabs securing the engine control module to the engine control module bracket.
Engine Control Module (1) - Remove

Disconnect the electrical connector. (1)

Disconnect harness retainers as needed.
Engine Control Module Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]
Engine Control Module Bracket (2) - Remove
Use a suitable tool to release the locking tab and remove the transmission control module (3) by sliding it out from the bracket (2).
