Timing Belt Life Reset: Description

The Engine Control Module monitors the accumulated mileage to determine when timing belt or oil pump belt replacement may be necessary. After the vehicle has met the calibrated values for recommended belt service mileage, the Instrument Cluster may display the CHANGE TIMING BELT message. Refer to the owner's manual for the approximate service interval in miles/kilometers.
