Engine Oil Extraction

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
    NOTE:

    Take into account the amount of oil in the oil filter when determining the expected amount of oil that will be extracted.

  1. Check engine oil level to determine amount of oil that should be extracted.
  2. NOTE:

    Oil viscosity and temperature will directly effect the amount of time the oil takes to be extracted.

  3. Start the vehicle and allow the oil to reach roughly 71°C (160°F).
  4. Turn on the mobile air compressor to ensure adequate air pressure is available to extract the oil.
  5. Set up the collapsible rolling cart.

    NOTE:

    The waste oil container does not need to be removed from the service van.

    Ensure the oil extractor drain valve (1) is closed by turning the valve 1/4 turn counterclockwise.

  7. Remove the oil extractor (2) from the waste oil container (3).

    Install the oil extractor (2) on the oil extractor stand (3) and place the assembly on the collapsible rolling cart.

  9. Once the oil has reached roughly 71°C (160°F), turn the vehicle off.
  10. Install the air line (1) to the oil extractor.
  11. Remove the oil dip stick.

    Install the appropriately sized dipstick suction tube adapter (1) to the oil extractor hose (2).

    Insert the dipstick suction tube adapter (2) into the dipstick tube (3) until the dipstick suction tube adapter is at the bottom of the crank case.

  14. Open the suction tube valve (1) and allow the engine oil to be extracted.
  15. Once the engine oil is completely extracted, close the suction tube valve (1).
  16. Remove the dipstick suction tube adapter (2) from the dipstick tube (3).
  17. Remove the dipstick suction tube adapter (2) from the oil extractor hose (4).

    Install the oil dip stick.

  19. Remove the air line (1) from the oil extractor (2).
  20. Remove the oil extractor (2) from the oil extractor stand (3).

    Install the oil extractor (2) on the waste oil container (3).

  22. Open the oil extractor drain valve (1) by turning the valve 1/4 turn clockwise and let the waste oil drain into the waste oil container (3).
  23. Turn off the mobile air compressor.
