Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Perform the following procedure/test: Contaminants-in-Diesel Exhaust Fluid Diagnosis .
    • If a condition exists

      Repair as necessary

    • Go to next step: If no condition exists
  2. Perform the scan tool function: Reductant System Leak Test
  3. Verify the scan tool parameter: Reductant Pressure = Greater than 450 kPa (65.3 PSI)
    • If less than 450 kPa (65.3 PSI)
    1. Perform the scan tool function: Reductant Pump - 50%
    2. Verify the scan tool parameter: Desired Reductant Pump Speed = Reductant Pump Speed
      • Go to next step: If equal

Go to next step: Replace the component: A38 Reductant Pump and Sensor Assembly

    • Go to next step: If 450 kPa (65.3 PSI) or greater
  4. Verify there are no leaks, kinks or restrictions in the reductant lines.
    • If a condition exists

      Repair as necessary

    • Go to next step: If no condition exists
  5. Perform the scan tool control function: Nitrogen Oxides Catalytic Converter Reductant Loading Reset
  6. Inspect the Q61 Emission Reduction Fluid Injector lines for damage, restrictions, or blockage.
    • If any condition is found

      Repair as necessary

    • Go to next step: If no conditions are found
  7. Disconnect the Q61 Emission Reduction Fluid Injector from the supply line.
  8. Position the Q61 Emission Reduction Fluid Injector supply line towards the graduated scale container.
  9. Command the Reductant System Leak Test ON with a scan tool.
  10. Command the Reductant System Leak Test Off when 60 ml has flowed.
  11. Verify that 60 ml has flowed within 1 minute.
    • If less than 60 ml
  12. Inspect the Q61 Reductant Injector and supply line for damage, restrictions, or blockage.
    • If a condition is found, repair or replace as necessary.
    • If no condition is found, replace the A38 Reductant Pump and Sensor Assembly.
    • Go to next step: If 60 ml or greater
  13. Perform the scan tool control function: Reductant System Tamper Service Bay Test
    • If the procedure/test does not pass

Replace the component: Q61 Reductant Fluid Injector

    • Go to next step: If the procedure/test passes
  14. All OK.
