WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify there are no DTCs set related to the following component/system:
- B34 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
- B65 Manifold Absolute Pressure and Intake Air Temperature Sensor
- B75 Mass Airflow Sensor
- B359 Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Module
- Q14 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve
- Q17 Fuel Injector
- If a related DTC is set
- Refer to: Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle
- Go to next step: If a related DTC is not set
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 2, 3 = The value should be within the range listed in the table: Temperature Versus Resistance (B131A Exhaust Temperature Sensor 1)Temperature Versus Resistance (B130B Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor 2)Temperature Versus Resistance (B130A Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor and B131B, B131C Exhaust Temperature Sensor 2, 3)
- If not in the specified range
Replace the appropriate component: Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 2, 3
- Go to next step: If within the specified range
- If not in the specified range
- Verify the following conditions do not exist:
- Charge Air Cooler/Induction System - Leaking - Refer to: Component/System Leak Test .
- Exhaust System - Leaking - Refer to: Exhaust Leakage .
- If a condition exists
Repair as necessary
- Go to next step: If no condition exists
- Perform the scan tool function: Particulate Filter Service Regeneration
.
- If the procedure was not successful
Replace the component: Exhaust Particulate Filter
- Go to next step: If the procedure was successful
- If the procedure was not successful
- All OK.
