Circuit/System Description

The K9 Body Control Module powers the reversible door latch actuators by providing battery positive voltage and ground to the appropriate lock and unlock control circuits of the door latches. Transitioning of the lock actuators to the lock or unlocked position depends upon which control circuits receive voltage and which control circuits receive ground. When the interior door lock switch is pressed, the body control module disables the functions of exterior door handle unlock switches preventing the unlatching of the vehicle doors until an the interior door unlock switch has been pressed or the appropriate button has been pressed on the keyless entry transmitter.

The K9 Body Control Module provides the A23D Front Side Door Latch - Driver, A23LR Rear Side Door Latch - Left and M97 Fuel Tank Filler Door Lock Actuator (If equipped with RPO N08) with the Unlatch Low Reference Circuit 2679.

The K9 Body Control Module provides the A23P Front Side Door Latch - Passenger, A23RR Rear Side Door Latch - Right and the A23C Liftgate Latch (If equipped with RPO TB4) with the Unlatch Low Reference Circuit 2680.

M97 Fuel Tank Filler Door Lock Actuator

• The K9 Body Control Module provides the M97 Fuel Tank Filler Door Lock Actuator with the Unlatch Control Circuit 2689, when the doors are commanded to unlock, the K9 Body Control Module will pull the Fuel Door Actuator Lock Control Circuit 2689 high and Unlatch Low Reference Circuit 2679 will be pulled low causing the M97 Fuel Tank Filler Door Lock Actuator to perform the Unlock function.
• When the vehicle doors are commanded to Lock, the polarity applied will be reversed and cause the M97 Fuel Tank Filler Door Lock Actuator to transition to the Locked State.
• When the actuators are inactive the circuits are disconnected from power and ground and the circuit will have a floating voltage.
