Installation Procedure
Rear Seat (2) - Install
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Position the seat as necessary to access the seat bolts.
- If NEW threaded components are being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded components are reused, prepare the threaded components using the following steps:
- Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth.
- Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
- Apply thread locking adhesive to the external threads of the components. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Ensure there are no gaps in the thread locking adhesive once applied to the component.
- Rear Seat Bolt (1) - Install and tighten in sequence [5x] - Fastener Specifications
Place the rear seat in the fold and tumble position.
- Rear Seat Track Rear Inboard Cover-Inboard (1) - Install
Rear Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover (1) - Install
- Return the rear seat to the original position.
Rear Seat Track Front Inboard Cover (1) - Install
Rear Seat Track Front Outboard Cover (1) - Install
Rear Side Door Sill Garnish Molding (1) - Install
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:
If the Proper torque sequence is not followed the seat may not operate smoothly.
